Four Global Manufacturers
Choose i-MARK, a ‘Software as a Service’ Company,
to Automate Their Sales Processes on the Internet
HARTFORD, Conn., (BUSINESS
WIRE)—June 1, 2005 --- i-MARK, Inc., a Connecticut-based
‘Software as a Service (SaaS) company providing sales
process automation (SPA) solutions to durable goods manufacturers
since 1998, announced today that since April 15th, four leading
manufacturers selected i-MARK’s EnterpriseSPA™ suite
to automate and manage their Internet marketing and sales
processes.
In announcing these wins, Del Merenda, i-MARK’s CEO
said, “durable goods manufacturers have redirected their
attention to marketing and selling over the Internet. We see
this extraordinary shift in manufacturer’ priorities
across the board and industry-watchers agree.” Merenda
added, “What’s so valuable about automating sell-side
processes is that suppliers have simultaneously reduced operating
costs, improved customer service and grown top-line revenue,
all from this one initiative. And, given yesterday’s
announcement by Thomas Register® that they will discontinue
print directories and catalogs, the floodgates have opened
for the Internet to become the definitive selling platform
for durable goods manufacturers!”
The four manufacturers that i-MARK announced as shifting
various marketing and selling processes to the Internet are:
The Stanley Works, April 15, 2005. Their
Security Solutions (SSS) division based in Farmington CT and
Indianapolis IN, chose to implement an i-MARK EnterpriseSPA
module for three of its businesses in North America. SSS gave
i-MARK permission to announce the significant commitment they’ve
made to install and deploy these three systems but will not
divulge further details due to the unique competitive advantages
that this i-MARK solution module provides.
Altra Industrial Systems, April 29, 2005.
Their Quincy, MA and South Beloit, IL businesses, Boston Gear
and Warner Electric, selected i-MARK’s EnterpriseSPA
suite to consolidate their marketing and sales processes into
a common Altra Industrial System’ portal to serve customers,
prospects, employees, and 1,500 of Altra’s global distributors,
enabling users to search for products, build assemblies to
order, download 3D CAD models and conduct business transactions.
The system will also capture and distribute web sales leads
to the sales channel and automatically generate complex sales
quotations.
Black & Decker, April 29, 2005. Their
New Haven, CT based Emhart Teknologies chose i-MARK to deliver
a database-driven e-Catalogue system for its Automotive Division’s
product lines sold in Europe, Asia and in the America’s.
The application will be implemented from their European headquarters
in Geesen, Germany and will serve both external and internal
users. Permissioned users can access Emhart’s global
databases to download technical (CAD) data and to enable automatic
e-Catalogue updates from their worldwide ERP systems. Emhart’s
industry-leading Virtual Innovation Center, built by i-MARK
in 1998 as an e-Catalog and interactive decision-making tool
for design engineers, will be redesigned and integrated into
this new system.
Metso Automation, May 27, 2005. The Worcester
MA division of Finland-based Metso Corporation commercially
released i-MARK’s OrderManagerTM, an Internet-based
sales order management system to replace their costly VPN-based
system and integrate it with i-MARK’s Build2OrderTM
product selection and assembly configuration system purchased
in 1999. Metso also installed i-MARK’s SalesQuoteTM
system to automate sales proposals for their complex valve
and actuator assemblies. Metso next plans to fully integrate
